Assessment
Choosing the right secondary school for your child is an exciting but daunting task; choosing a selective state grammar or independent school can also be costly and time-consuming. For every student who passes the 11+, many do not. This can be upsetting for families and have an impact on a child's self-esteem. Not all children, at this moment in time, are ready to embark on this long and difficult journey. This does not mean that they will be unsuccessful at GCSE and A-level in the future. An honest conversation now could save you a lot of money and heartache.

What I offer
I offer an impartial, stand-alone assessment to form the basis of conversation about your child's suitability for academic tutoring for entrance exams. Students will be assessed in all areas of the 11+. The assessment is completed individually or in small groups over a 2 hour period, in a relaxed environment, with short breaks. Papers are marked and parents are contacted within 48 hours to discuss results and next steps. Experience has shown that students who do well in this examination stand an excellent chance of passing exams into grammar and selective independent schools. If your child performs below expectation we will discuss alternative routes and schools as your child may not be academically mature at this moment in time.
